Public Works: treatment plant nearly complete; paving and path projects move forward

Director/staff reported progress on multiple projects: Hickory Lane Phase 1 nearing paving, Ridgeway proof roll and paving scheduled, Glenbrook Drive path repaved, Jackson Drive patching and seal coating after Labor Day, and wastewater treatment plant nearly complete.
The Board received the Director of Public Works report at the Aug. 26 meeting and placed the report on file.
Staff said wastewater treatment plant work was largely complete and that the plant was “99 percent complete,” with only punch-list items and contractor follow-up remaining. The report noted staff are fine-tuning the plant’s UV disinfection system.
Construction updates included:
- Hickory Lane Phase 1: underground work complete; paving expected in September and phase 2 projected to start in late September. - Ridgeway Drive: underground work complete; proof roll scheduled and paving anticipated immediately following successful proof roll. - Glenbrook Drive path: soil stabilization and repaving completed; restoration to take place in the coming weeks. - Jackson Drive: work scheduled for end of week with routing and crack filling now and seal coating following after Labor Day.
Staff also reported on park and dog-park work: Cedar Run dog-park clearing and path work was expected later in the fall, with final fencing and site work to take place in spring per the contractor schedule. The board moved to place the report on file; the motion carried.
