The City of Roseville Public Utilities Commission on Aug. 26 selected its chair and vice chair for the coming year.
Commissioner De Lacy was nominated and the commission voted to appoint him chair; Commissioner DeMarche was nominated and appointed vice chair. The selections were made under the city’s boards and commissions administrative standards and take effect at the next regular meeting, the commission noted.
The appointment of De Lacy as chair was moved by a commissioner and seconded; the roll-call vote was recorded as: Commissioner De Lacy — yes; Commissioner DeMarche — aye; Commissioner Mahesh — aye; Commissioner Petreboard — aye; Chair Bilski — aye. The appointment of DeMarche as vice chair was subsequently moved and seconded and passed by a similar roll-call vote.
At the meeting staff noted that the September regular meeting will be canceled and that the new leadership will assume duties at the next convened meeting. No substantive policy decisions were made as part of the leadership selection process.
