Board approves five-year child-support cooperative agreement for Domestic Relations office

Lebanon County commissioners approved a five-year cooperative agreement under the Social Security Act between the Commonwealth (Department of Human Services) and the county's Domestic Relations office to continue child-support-related services and functions.
Michael Anderson, director of domestic relations, told commissioners the agreement would run from Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2030, and that it contained no major changes from the previous agreement, only a few minor edits. Anderson said the county and CCAP provided information and that additional changes may appear in the next cooperative agreement during budget discussions.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the agreement by voice vote. Anderson also reminded commissioners of a child-support awareness event scheduled the next day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the rear of the municipal building; he said staff would distribute 22 fully stocked backpacks and provide outreach and information about child-support services.
The agreement as described covers the county’s child-support, spousal-support and locate services; commissioners did not identify changes to funding levels in the meeting and deferred further programmatic questions to the budget process.
No detailed copy of the contract was entered into the record at the meeting; Anderson said he had provided a list of minor changes to commissioners in advance.
