Commenter praises MCIA coverage and train station upgrades; meeting ends after routine votes

Charlie Crabill, a meeting commenter, praised recent coverage of a Middlesex County Improvement Authority event and thanked commissioners for changes that made remote participation easier.

Crabill said he appreciated “being able to join via a link” and that he “appreciated [the executive director’s] remarks” at an event in New Brunswick. He added that New Brunswick captured the event on video “so that people can start to get excited about … much needed upgrades to our train station” and said, “we'll continue to to cover the MCIA.”

The remarks occurred during the public comment portion of the meeting. Commissioner Vasquez identified themself during the session and asked that their presence and affirmative votes be recorded. “I do wanna note … my votes in affirmative for what has been voted on this evening,” Commissioner Vasquez said.

Earlier in the meeting a voice vote was announced as four in favor and was declared passed; the transcript does not specify which agenda item that vote applied to. Later in the closing minutes a motion to adjourn was made by Christine; the transcript does not record a seconder or a roll-call tally, and the chair declared the meeting adjourned.

Officials also confirmed there would be no executive session. Meeting staff discussed posting photos from a recent event to the county’s channels.

The meeting then concluded with the chair thanking attendees and adjourning.
