At the start of the Aug. 27 administrative meeting the Public Service Commission approved the minutes from the Aug. 20 administrative meeting and voted on consent-agenda items.
The commission approved a bond cancellation for Christian Exteriors LLC (from Arch Insurance) and approved requests to cancel electricity and natural‑gas supplier licenses for EGP Energy Solutions, doing business as Atlantic Energy Resources. Commissioners recorded aye votes for those routine consent items.
Staff also presented an application from Fiber Asset Co. LLC for operating authority to provide resold and facilities-based local exchange services. Staff said Fiber Asset Co. plans to provide wholesale special access services (SONET, Ethernet, wavelength) and does not plan to offer local exchange or exchange access service as defined in the Public Utilities Article (telephone‑company definition). Staff recommended the commission note the filing because the services fall outside the commission’s jurisdiction.
The commission voted to note the Fiber Asset filing.
