The Monrovia Planning Commission continued the public hearing on Conditional Use Permit CUP2025-0007 for Rico's Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, 448 West Foothill Boulevard, to the commission's next meeting on October 15 to allow the applicant additional time to revise the floor plan. The continuance was moved and approved by roll call; Commissioners Austin, Rose, Scheffler, Stehira and Chair Brown voted yes.
Staff said the item had been opened at the previous planning commission meeting on August 13 and was continued to the current meeting at the applicant's request. No members of the public spoke on the item during the public-comment portion. Staff indicated it will bring the revised materials for the commission's review at the October 15 meeting.
The motion to continue the matter was approved by roll call; the commission noted that staff will notify interested parties and that the matter will be reheard at the October meeting.
