Commission continues Rico’s Fiesta conditional-use hearing to October 15

The Monrovia Planning Commission continued the public hearing on a conditional use permit application for Rico’s Fiesta Mexican restaurant, 448 West Foothill Boulevard, to the planning commission’s next regular meeting on October 15 at the applicant’s request.
Planning staff said the item was opened at the August 13 meeting and was continued to allow the applicant time to revise the floor plan. Staff recommended continuation to the commission’s October 15 meeting. No members of the public came forward to comment at the continuance hearing.
A motion to continue the hearing to October 15 was made and approved on a roll-call vote. Commissioners Austin, Rose, Scheffler, Stehira and Chair Brown voted yes. Staff said minutes from the prior meeting were not available and would be brought forward at the next meeting.
