Heath Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously elects James John chair, Wayne vice chair

Commission members clarified that the commission must also name a secretary but that item was not on the published agenda. City staff said the secretary position will be added to the next meeting agenda so the commission can consider it formally. Staff noted the city secretary role remains distinct from the commission’s officer position and that the city secretary performs official minute-keeping under state law.
No other formal actions were taken during the portion of the meeting devoted to officer elections. There were no public comments recorded for this special meeting.
The commission moved on after completing the officer elections and scheduling the secretary nomination for a future meeting.
