Confirmed appointments announced during the meeting included Jesse Adams (reappointment to the Agriculture Commission); Charles Howard and Michael Valerie (Planning Commission); Ahmad Jackson (Design Review Board, seat 3); Steve Powells (Design Review Board, seat 5); Tanya Mormon Jackson (Design Review Board, seat 7); Dr. John Keith (Design Review Board); Donnie Carter (Veterans Park Committee); and Hunter Morgan (reappointment to the Resilience and Sustainability Advisory Committee). Several nominations were made from the dais and followed by voice votes in which council members responded "aye." The council also noted nominations for the Public Safety Citizens Review Board were pending as the staff report concluded.
Several items were explicitly deferred by the council because no applicants were listed: two positions on the Accommodations Tax Advisory Board, appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, construction and maintenance Board of Adjustment and Appeals, and the Parks and Beautification Commission.
