Neighbor tells Littleton planning commission proposed Bulls development will strain neighborhood access

Brad Nicholson, a resident of the Beaumont South neighborhood, used the public-comment period at the July 28 meeting to raise safety and access concerns about a proposed single-family home development on the water board property located on Bulls between Platte Canyon Road and Sheridan Boulevard.
Nicholson said the developer planned 16 to 20 single-family homes with no new traffic signal or sidewalks on the Bulls frontage. "They're not putting a light, which means every one of these cars will be taking a right and having to go right into our neighborhood, which will increase the traffic in our neighborhood by a 150%." He said there was no safe walking or bicycling route from the property to nearby destinations and expressed concern for children at a nearby school.
Staff and the commission noted that the only public hearing item on the agenda that night was the code text amendments; no formal response or action on the Bulls property was taken at the meeting. The remarks were recorded during the public-comment portion of the session; commissioners did not vote on or refer the matter during the meeting on July 28.
