The Clovis Carver Library director told the board the library will install a new fire panel this fall, move forward on skylight work and use remaining go bond funds for meeting-room furniture and other patron-facing items, and she outlined recent and imminent staff changes.
Margaret Burrows said the library has contracted IntraWorks of Albuquerque to install a new fire panel that she said had taken about nine months to fund and arrange. “They’re scheduled to start on Monday, September 8, and it’ll take about a month for them to install it,” Burrows said. She told the board the existing panel is only semi-functional and that, if parts fail, the system could be red-tagged.
