Mayor presents Brandon for permanent Civil Unity Board seat; council to act at regular meeting

Mayor Wood told the Salt Lake City Council at its July 23 work meeting that city staff are preparing to move a currently alternate Civil Unity Board member, identified in the meeting only as Brandon, into a permanent seat and that council action will occur at the regular meeting.
“...we're moving him from an alternate to a regular civil unity board member. We'll do that in the regular meeting,” Mayor Wood said, adding that the council had previously seen Brandon’s resume and approved him as an alternate. Council Chair Sharla Bynum said the council would take action on the appointment during the regular meeting.
No vote or formal appointment was taken during the work session; the mayor and chair said the matter would be placed on the regular meeting agenda for a formal vote.
