The board said staff had not filed a specific interlocal agreement packet with the clerk, and several commissioners expressed reluctance to approve a blanket, open-ended service arrangement that could accelerate wear on county striping equipment. Several commissioners said they would support project-by-project agreements that include cost recovery. The board voted to require more specifics and to handle out-of-county striping requests on a case-by-case basis rather than approve a standing blanket interlocal agreement.
The motions to approve alternate vendors and to require project-specific interlocal agreements both carried.
