Court approves replat of Arnold Creek Farms Lot 1A; consent agenda re-voted and other routine items approved

The Collin County Commissioners Court approved a replat to divide Lot 1A of Arnold Creek Farms into two parcels following a public hearing in which no members of the public spoke.
Clarence Doherty, Director of Engineering, presented the item and said, “Clarence Doherty, Director of Engineering the owners of Lot 1A in Arnold Creek Farms, Desire, has made a request to subdivide this track into 2 parcels. The proper notifications have been made, and so public hearing is required, and we ask you to approve.” The court closed the public hearing after no one indicated a desire to speak and then voted to approve the replat. The motion carried 4 to 0.
Earlier in the meeting the court held and then re-voted the consent agenda. The court initially held item 1M1 (the Arnold Creek Farms replat) out of the consent package for discussion. Later staff asked the court to also pull item 1M4 for consideration next week. The court moved to reconvene the consent agenda without items 1M1 and 1M4; that motion passed 4 to 0.

On Central Appraisal District (CAD) board elections, staff reported the court is at the nominations step and that the CAD has asked entities to allocate votes before October 1. A staff member said entities will receive ballots once the CAD supplies vote allocations and that nominations can be submitted between the allocation notice and “I think, October 15.” The court took no action on CAD nominations at this meeting.
No other public testimony was offered on the replat. The court adjourned and later convened and approved consent agendas for the Toll Road Authority and the Health Care Foundation by 4-to-0 votes.
