Committee approves previous minutes; quorum, decorum and staffing announcements
Summary
At the start of the Aug. 28 meeting the joint Agriculture committee established a quorum, approved minutes from the June meeting unanimously, and noted committee decorum rules and staffing changes in the Legislative Service Office.
The Agriculture, State & Public Lands & Water Resources Committee convened Aug. 28 with a quorum and proceeded with committee housekeeping before agenda presentations.
Roll call was completed and the committee chair read committee decorum rules and asked members to submit questions through the chair. The committee welcomed Savannah Collins as a new member of the Legislative Service Office attorney pool in Cheyenne.
Approval of minutes: a motion to approve the minutes of the June meeting was moved and seconded; the committee chair called for a voice/hand vote and reported unanimous approval.
Ending: Committee staff reminded attendees to sign in with secretarial staff and to submit public comments after the day's presentations; committee members were invited to a University of Wyoming Ag College dinner that evening.
