Bill, the fire director, told commissioners a $50,000 line item in the commission budget is set aside “to do any upgrades that need to be done to the house, particularly to buy appliances, furniture, bedroom furniture, that kind of thing, to get it ready to occupy and for people to be able to sleep there.” He said the budget also includes an additional captain position and that the county administrator will determine when the department can post for those positions.
