The Quincy City Zoning Board of Appeals took several procedural and case actions at its July 22 meeting:
- The board voted to accept and waive the reading of minutes from its June 24, 2025 meeting and noted there was no meeting on July 8, 2025.
- DBA 25-18 (Claudio Arojo) was allowed: the board voted to grant a variance to construct a 120-square-foot mudroom onto the existing structure at 85 Upton Street. The applicant's representative said the mudroom will have no heating; the board voted in favor by voice vote.
- ZBA 25-11 (Manuel Piva) was withdrawn: after the applicant informed the board that the owner wished to withdraw the application to demolish and rebuild at 656 C Street, a motion to allow withdrawal carried unanimously.
- ZBA 25-6 (Andrew Childs) was continued to Sept. 9, 2025, after discussion about the proposed two-car garage with storage above (see separate article). The board recorded no final variance decision on that item at this meeting.
- The board adjourned at the end of the docket.
