Trenton authorizes emergency Harrison Avenue bridge repair, wastewater wet-well fix and orders new dump truck

The Trenton City Council on Sept. 15 authorized immediate repairs to the Harrison Avenue bridge abutment and an emergency fix at the wastewater treatment plant’s secondary wet well, and approved a budgeted fleet purchase for a new dump truck.
Department of Public Services Director Mr. Sergeant told the council the city’s most recent biannual bridge inspection in June flagged deterioration in the west abutment wall of the Harrison Avenue bridge. He said the city engineer and Fishbeck’s bridge engineer recommended immediate action via the state’s MyBridge portal and that CA Hall submitted the lowest responsible quote.
