TIDA staff provided a brief update on Sept. 10 on transition housing in the former Navy residential neighborhood. Staff said 425 residences are currently occupied in the former Navy housing area and that the 490 Avenue of the Palms building expects a certificate of occupancy in October.
TIDA staff said pre‑marketing to Treasure Island residents will begin before the end of October and that the DAHLIA lottery for the seven inclusionary affordable units at 490 Avenue of the Palms is expected in early December. Staff described unit types and said some current households have signaled an intent to apply for the inclusionary units and that TIDA is holding a small number of units pending those eligibility efforts.
Staff also reported property management activity: the managing agent, John Stewart Company, has consolidated households in under‑occupied buildings to vacate and secure a small number of units. An amendment to the John Stewart contract reflecting inventory changes and contract updates is expected to be brought to the board next month.
The update was informational; no board action was taken.
