The Decatur City Council approved a series of resolutions at its Sept. 2 work session covering utility contracts, grant acceptances, construction change orders and an annual transportation plan tied to Rebuild Alabama Act revenue forecasts.
Among the actions the council approved were a Municipal Utilities Board (MUB) boring and trenching contract with a budgeted expenditure of $2,810,612; acceptance of a $375,000 grant to purchase a recycling truck; and approval of a $41,000 HVAC replacement for the police department.
