At the July 24, 2025 meeting, a design review board representative reported that the board approved a site development plan amendment for the Scalapies Phase 2 project in downtown Castle Rock.
The representative said the amendment removes a couple of previously added shed structures and replaces them with more permanent remodeling that reduces the building’s overall square footage by 52 square feet. The change met all code criteria and the downtown overlay district standards, the representative said.
Commissioners discussed the update briefly; no commission vote on the project was recorded during the Planning Commission meeting. The representative said the exterior appearance will remain largely the same aside from a parapet wall added at the roof to screen mechanical equipment.
No public comment was recorded on this item during the meeting update.
