The commission then nominated and elected Todd Blitzer to serve as chair and Mike Dockel to serve as vice chair. Both nominations passed unanimously on voice/hand-raise votes. The commission also approved the minutes from its April meeting by unanimous vote at the start of the session.
The outgoing commissioner noted he was stepping down because of term limits and said he would transfer to another board. The meeting record shows the swearing in and the leadership votes took place before the commission moved on to staff reports and other business.
Those items concluded without further contested action, and the commission adjourned by unanimous consent.
The commission will next meet as scheduled; staff signaled ongoing agenda work including code updates and property cases.
