"It seems to me the building department said there was a violation," Day said, referring to two violation letters he said the building department had issued. "If the building department, who is the enforcement of WMSC, doesn't do so then there must not be a law in their mind when the building department is questioned about a clear violation." He asked why the prosecutor's office had not been engaged as the building department had indicated it would be.
