Committee approves minutes; receives permit activity and TIP/STIP updates

The Tippecanoe County Technical Transportation Committee unanimously approved minutes from its prior meeting and then discussed permit activity, local development permits and regional programming updates.
Committee members reviewed a permit spreadsheet that shows active plan reviews and returned comments for several local projects, including combined submissions for Barton Beach and a racetrack plan that is under plan review. Staff noted that Twin City improvements are at a stage where legal notice is being prepared because required responses have not been received. Members also raised that the Bridal Senior Living development at Park East Boulevard and State Road 38 should be preparing to pull building permits soon.
On regional programming, APC staff reported that the fiscal year 2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) documentation are now consolidated and that the INDOT letter approving the TIP was included in the meeting packet. Staff said they are updating the document for a significant INDOT project and expected the update to post to the agency website within about a week. Committee members reviewed the 18-month letting list and highlighted upcoming bid lettings and projects, including a reconstruction/repair project on State Road 25, Ninth Street phase one and a North Ninth Street bridge deck replacement.
There were no citizen comments. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
