Advisory committee praises mutual aid after local wildfire; schedules October meeting and notes MDT event

Members of the Morrow County Ambulance Service Area Advisory Committee thanked the county health district and neighboring agencies for mutual aid after a recent wildfire that destroyed five houses and a church.
A committee member said the health district provided two ambulances that integrated into the incident command system and were dispatched to multiple medical calls during the incident. The committee reported no issues with the mutual‑aid response as relayed to the advisory group.
Members also noted that ambulances from neighboring jurisdictions assisted; one speaker explicitly said, “And the Utah County also showed up,” drawing appreciation from the group. The committee acknowledged collaborative response as a standing strength in the county’s emergency system.
Separately, Angie from Good Shepherd reminded members that a multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting is scheduled on the 30th of this month and noted a new trauma medical director will attend that MDT meeting. The committee set its next quarterly meeting for Oct. 28 at 5:00 p.m. in Heffner with a virtual link.
With no public commenters signed up, the committee adjourned the meeting and confirmed the Oct. 28 date.
