Town of Speedway announces Public Safety and Service Community Day at Leonard Park

"Come out for some community fun and engage with the departments that work around our town, the Speedway fire department, the Speedway police department, along with other departments that service the community," Smith said.
Organizers plan to display town vehicles and equipment, the Speedway Police Department will be on site grilling hot dogs, and the Speedway Fire Department will provide waters and chips. Town leaders are scheduled to serve Fun Days ice cream, and the Speedway Public Library will sponsor a foam cannon, Smith said. The announcement said several local groups and businesses will also be present to share information about services they provide to the community.
Smith encouraged families to attend; the announcement did not specify any cost or registration requirements. The event was promoted as an opportunity for residents to meet department staff and learn about local services.
