The Enlarged City School District of Middletown Board of Education on Aug. 14 ran through and approved multiple action items during its meeting, approving each motion by unanimous voice vote.
Items approved included the meeting agenda; minutes from July 31 and a special meeting on Aug. 7; personnel memorandum 4a (items 1–2); instructional personnel memorandum 4b (items 1–10); non-instructional personnel memorandum 4c (items 1–6); financial memorandum 5d (items 1–5); special services memorandum 4e (items 1–2); and approval of the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) coordinators. All of these motions carried by recorded voice vote as "Aye," with no opposing votes recorded.
The board also approved change order 3f, number 1, related to Cherry Street storm drainage. Bill (facility staff) explained the change order "is related to the Cherry Street storm drainage work and is to provide and install an additional catch basin where the new storm drain intersects an existing sewer line." The board noted that most change orders had been reviewed in advance by the change order committee and that members had time to raise questions prior to the meeting.
Each motion was carried unanimously (7–0) as entered in the meeting minutes.
