Ravena Village meeting: AmRise ownership, $13,000 donation to seniors, fire-department report, water restrictions and volunteer call

At a recent Ravena Village meeting, a representative of AmRise — the North American company that now owns the local cement plant — said the company has completed a corporate reorganization and has donated $13,000 to the village senior program for a new oven/stove.

The donation and ownership update drew public thanks from village officials. An AmRise representative described the corporate history and noted the company is publicly traded: "AmRise, ambition rising is kind of a is the background on the name. AmRise is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange," the representative said. The speaker added the plant will continue normal operations while the company plans a gradual rebrand of signage and other assets.
