The Menands Village Board on Aug. 4 adopted an Americans with Disabilities Act self‑evaluation and transition plan for pedestrian facilities after a presentation by a consultant from La Bella Associates working with the Capital Region Transportation Council.
The plan, presented by Carrie of La Bella/Capital Region Transportation Council, inventories existing pedestrian infrastructure, identifies physical barriers and lays out methods and an annual schedule to bring facilities into compliance with ADA requirements. "The self analysis piece of it outlines the accessibility of your existing pedestrian infrastructure," Carrie said during the presentation.
