Councilwoman Warwick asked Pittsburgh City Council on Aug. 22 to add a post agenda item to receive the controller’s report on the ShotSpotter system.
“I'd like to call for a post agenda on the ShotSpotter report from the controller's office,” Councilwoman Warwick said. A council member seconded the request and the presiding officer said, “All in favor, say aye,” indicating the council would work with the clerk to schedule the post agenda item.
Separately, the council’s meeting announcements stated that the next regular council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and a standing committee meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 27, both at 10 a.m. The council also announced a cable-cast public hearing on Bill 12-14, relative to interim housing, at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 26; speaker registration for that hearing will close at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the hearing. On Aug. 27 the council will hold briefing sessions on a development contract at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The clerk’s office phone number was given as (412) 255-2138 for registration.
Earlier in the meeting, a motion to amend the agenda was made and approved; the meeting concluded after the council moved to excuse absent members, approve the minutes, and adjourn. The Aug. 22 record does not show a detailed council vote tally by member for the ShotSpotter post agenda request; the chair indicated the item would be scheduled with the clerk.
