Klamath County board orders immediate supervisory change in code enforcement, directs HR and counsel to propose long-term solution

From an HR standpoint, staff told the board the issue required quick action to remove the current supervisory relationship and recommended tabling a final policy decision until counsel and HR can present scenarios for a full-board decision. The board directed counsel and HR to confer and return with recommended approaches and potential language for policy updates.
No formal board vote was required to implement the immediate reassignment, and staff said the interim change is in effect. The board did not set a specific date for the return of recommendations; members asked that the proposals be scheduled for an "appropriate meeting in an appropriate noticed way."
