Baltimore County plans funded two‑lane roundabout at Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road; officials propose temporary “flexi‑post” trial

Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation officials told residents at a public meeting that the county will continue design and right‑of‑way acquisition for a funded two‑lane roundabout at Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road and is proposing a temporary installation of flexible posts to restrict left and through movements from Cross Road while the roundabout is completed.

The county’s highway‑design chief, Virginia Collier, said the location currently carries about 20,000 vehicles per day on Honeygo Boulevard and roughly 1,800 vehicles per day on Cross Road, and that police‑recorded crash data show 17 crashes at the intersection in the past five years. “There’s been expressed safety concerns for those on Cross Road attempting to go straight or turn left on the Honeygo,” Collier said.
