Historic district commission tables Bayer exterior-design application after materials missing

The New Shoreham Historic District Commission on an online meeting tabled an exterior-design application submitted for review as "Bayer" after commissioners said the packet lacked required details and no project representative was present to answer questions.
Commissioners said the submission listed only a handful of materials (noting Andersen 400-series windows described as “full divided light,” a generic PVC door trim and an Owens Corning roof color) but did not include essential measurements or clear siding specifications. A person speaking for the applicant said they were asked to attend but were not the on-site contractor and could not provide answers about trim sizes, siding type or other detailing.
Commissioners asked the applicant to provide a complete materials list and drawings showing trim sizes, corner boards, window casing details and the proposed treatment at the roof intersection and access to grade. Because those clarifications were not available, a commissioner moved to table the item and the commission voted to table the application pending submission of the requested details.
The commission recorded that public comment at this agenda item was limited to exterior design only and that the tabled status means the applicant must return with the requested documentation for the commission to resume review.
