Board Secretary (name not specified) reported the 1925 fund balance was $249,132.00 on July 15 and $248,449.68 on July 31. The board recorded changes to member status, including a withdrawal of a disability pension application by James Delano and notice that Muhammad Afifi was granted temporary disability benefits (classified as Class 1, with an initial impairment degree of 5 percent and scheduled for review in 12 months).
The board moved to remove Dawn Frazier, a disabled dependent of Sergeant Joe Frazier and a member of the 25 fund who died July 4, 2025, from payroll; the motion carried. The board secretary said John Porter’s disability request packet was received in July 2025 and is under review.
Actions taken at the meeting were procedural and routine in nature; the board set its next regular meeting for 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, in Room 307 of the Civic Center Plaza and adjourned.
Votes at the meeting were recorded by voice as "aye," and the chair declared motions carried when no opposition was voiced.
