Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden will present Wild Summer Lights, a ticketed after-hours lantern festival, Thursday through Sunday evenings from Aug. 14 through Oct. 5, zoo officials told the Evansville Parks and Recreation Board.
Eric Beck, executive director of Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden, said the event is a revenue-share partnership with the festival company and that artists from China have spent several weeks assembling displays at the zoo. Ticket prices announced during the presentation were $18 for adults, $16 for children and $3 off the child price for members; tickets must be purchased in advance at meskerparkzoo.com.
