At its Aug. 21 meeting, Cookeville City staff reported the city has received an additional $73,276.75 in opioid settlement funds for the current fiscal year and transferred those funds to the Regional Medical Center.
Mister Mills said the money was transferred pursuant to a memorandum of understanding that directs the funds to the medical center’s Addiction Navigator Services Program. He reported a total of $547,987.93 disbursed to the medical center since fiscal year 2023 under that arrangement and said the funds will be used for the addiction navigator program.
