The Cookeville City Council on Aug. 21 approved a consent agenda that included multiple procurement actions for police and public works operations.
The consent agenda items listed in the meeting packet and read at the meeting included: awarding a bid for uniforms, MOLLE carrier body armor and badges; approval to purchase three Criminal Investigations Division vehicles using statewide contract No. 209; awarding bids for annual and semiannual paving (asphalt mix, milling, mineral aggregate, striping and pavement markings), concrete pipe and tire recapping; and awarding bids for various inventory items.
Councilman Boggi moved to approve the consent agenda; Vice Mayor Eldridge seconded. The motion passed 5-0 with no recorded public discussion at the meeting.
The meeting transcript does not record contract vendors for every line item, nor dollar amounts for most items; the agenda identified the statewide contract number for vehicle purchases.
