Board discussion followed presentations from industry representatives and enforcement staff. The board adopted the amendment by a recorded vote of Aye from Member Assad, Member Sandahl and Chairman Dreiser and directed the package to the commission for adoption, effective upon the commission's action.
The adopted draft revises several salon rules proposed earlier in 2025 after legislative changes in SB 459. Under the revisions approved by the board, games other than poker must now have a front-money deposit or line of credit of at least $20,000 for the salon patron. The rule for poker was amended to require a minimum aggregate buy-in of $20,000 to commence a poker game in a salon (the draft previously considered a $50,000 table minimum with $10,000 per-player buy-ins), and the chair…
