Council approves consent calendar; appoints Danielle Sverkogoditsky liaison to Police Activities League

The San Mateo City Council on Aug. 18 unanimously approved the meeting’s consent calendar by roll call, and later appointed a council liaison to the Police Activities League (PAL).

City clerk Martin McTaggart read 14 consent items covering routine approvals and contract actions. Items listed included, among others, the Marina Lagoon spot dredging bid rejection; Gateway Park pedestrian bridge replacement agreement; the Los Prados, Kehoe, Kelly and Arroyo lift station rehabilitation project agreement; Central Recreation Center roof improvements contract award; construction special inspection services for the clean water program amendment; and a housing set‑aside fund appropriation. Appointment to Police Activities League liaison

Later in the meeting council considered adding a liaison role for the Police Activities League to the list of external appointments. Council member Danielle Sverkogoditsky (District/role as listed on the dais) was nominated for the liaison role and Council member Fernandez was named the alternate. The motion passed unanimously on a recorded vote of 5‑0.
