Council approves Tropicana Field repair agreements and construction work; staff says roof installation begins in August

Council reaction Council members said they were reluctant but recognized the city's contractual obligations to repair the stadium. Several members praised city staff and contractors for the complexity of the work and asked that small-business and minority-contractor outreach be documented; staff said Hennessy Construction would lead community outreach and that Office of Vendor Diversity would be involved.
