David Klausner, owner of KDA Ace 3, told the Norton Planning Commission on the agenda item SPR 10 20 25 that he is seeking preliminary review for a third manufacturing building and an on‑site electrical substation at 5221 South Cleveland‑Massillon Road.
Klausner said the proposed building would be “a heavy manufacturing grain facility. It'll be approximately 40,000 square feet,” and that the substation is necessary because the local FirstEnergy distribution line “does not have enough power on that distribution line that runs on the West Side Of Cleveland, Massillon for our buildings now.” He said a tenant in the first building had considered relocating because of the limited power supply and that Phase 1 alone would need “about 10 megawatts.”
