Community leader asks council for help navigating temporary use process for thrift in garage on Bellefonte Street

Vaughn said she was not seeking an immediate ruling but wanted the record to reflect the barrier she faces.
A council clerk responded that, without knowing details, "it sounds like you would need a temporary use permit. But if you leave your information with the clerk's office, we can ensure the appropriate council member gets in touch with you." No council member took the floor to address the issue during the hearing.
Vaughn's remarks highlight questions about the city process for short-term or pop-up uses of existing spaces; she requested guidance and said she hoped future processes would be easier for small organizations and individuals trying to activate underused spaces.
