The EPIC ONE ON ONE CHARTER SCHOOL board convened in executive session on Sept. 11, 2025. Board members reported that only the board plus Superintendent Justin Hunt and Brandon Webb attended the executive session and that no votes were taken during the closed meeting itself.
Following the executive session the board moved in open session to act on two personnel items. A motion to terminate the employment of the executive director of communications effective immediately passed by roll call vote.
The board then voted to hire Erin Hatfield “for depo for director of public relations with a salary of 130,000 to start at her earliest convenience,” according to the motion recorded on the minutes. The board recorded the vote as unanimous on the hiring motion.
Board members stated that the superintendent item discussed in executive session will be considered later and that only agenda items were discussed in executive session.
