The notices were read on the recorded Bethel Park Minute by Nicholas Callas, a Bethel Park staff member. The Bethel Park Farmers Market runs every Tuesday through Oct. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. in South Park on Corrigan Drive, next to the ice rink, the announcement said.
The message said the Bethel Park Splash Park’s final day of the season will be Monday, Sept. 1; the park is open from 12 to 7 p.m., weather permitting. Municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Trash and bulk pickup schedules will be delayed by one day during that week, with bulk pickup occurring the first week of September.
The borough is hiring for an assistant superintendent position at the wastewater treatment plant. Applicants were directed to the borough careers page at bethelparkpa.gov for application details.
The Bethel Park Police Department is accepting school-supply donations now through Sept. 2 at the police station lobby, the Bethel Park Community Center, EV True Value Hardware and the library, the announcement said. A special “Pack the Bus” event is scheduled for Sept. 2 at the Farmers Market; the bulletin advised listeners to consult the market posting or borough website for a list of most-needed items.
