Clovis Wing Shooting Complex reports over $40,000 in annual sales; funds used for equipment

Russell Hooper, parks maintenance staff, reported to the Aviation and Beautification Committee that the Clovis Wing Shooting Complex and Archery Range generated more than $40,000 in total yearly sales in the last reporting year and that revenue is required by the city’s agreement with the state to be reinvested in the facility.
Hooper said the site used this year’s funds to purchase a new mower to support facility upkeep. He described the annual submission as part of the city’s agreement with the state and said his written annual report — included in committee packets — contains standard materials such as operating procedures and insurance documentation.
Hooper listed events held at the complex during the year, including multiple competitive shoots and youth and education activities. He said the facility hosted tournaments and instruction and that many events and classes are documented in the packet. Committee members voiced appreciation for the report and asked if there were questions; none were raised.
Hooper offered to answer follow-up questions about event counts and other line items from the packet, and the chair confirmed the committee will keep the item on file.
The committee did not take formal action beyond receiving the report.
