Council approves $150 donation to local youth livestock exhibitors

Wild Tribe City Council approved a $150 donation on Wednesday to support two youth livestock exhibitors seeking funds for show and sale expenses.

Rolly Coates and his sister, Ray Fleet, spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting to ask the council for help covering costs tied to showing animals at the Yosemite County Fair. “I’m excited about winning a buckle maybe or having a lot of fun at the show,” Rolly Coates said, and Ray Fleet described the money as helping fund future animals or college funds after sale.

Council members moved quickly to consider the request. A motion to award $150 was made by a councilor whose name was not clearly captured on the audio and was seconded by Councilor Robert Anderson.
