Levan planning commission unanimously approves accessory outbuilding for Chad Van Allstel

The Levan Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 6 unanimously approved an application to construct an accessory outbuilding for property owner Chad Van Allstel.
Commissioners voted to approve the July 2 meeting minutes earlier in the session and then reviewed the outbuilding application. The commission found the proposed structure met local setback requirements relative to the house and septic system and voted to approve the auxiliary building application by unanimous voice vote.
The commission discussed separation from septic infrastructure and measurements for the structure. Chad Van Allstel, the applicant and property owner, told the commission the distance "is 20 feet from actually 19 6 from the the house to the end of the septic, and then you got that space... So you're plus 11." He also said the construction drawings will include "official engineer plans" and that footings and foundation will be inspected as part of the building permit process. Van Allstel told the commission he expects electrical work but said the electrical permit could be added later if budgets change.
Staff and commissioners confirmed the proposed location provided the clearance required from the leach/septic line and the house. No amendments or conditions beyond standard building-permit review were recorded in the minutes.
The meeting concluded after the approvals and a motion to adjourn passed by unanimous voice vote.
