The commission was notified Aug. 5 that the Hermosa Beach Little League’s proposal for Clark Field improvements will be scheduled for the commission’s September meeting so the public works director can attend.
Lisa said the proposal envisions Little League raising funds for Clark Field improvements and that city council is interested in proceeding ahead of the typical capital improvement project schedule. The commission will be asked in September to indicate its level of support for advancing the project and to recommend whether staff should create a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hermosa Beach Little League to allow fundraising to begin.
Lisa said staff is still formulating a recommendation and that Joe (public works director) would provide additional technical details when present. No formal action was taken; the item will return in September for commission recommendation to city council.
