Moore council appoints four to Planning Commission, assigns two to Board of Adjustment

The Moore City Council on Aug. 4 approved four appointments to the Planning Commission and designated two of those appointees to serve on the Board of Adjustment to maintain required membership composition.
City staff said four vacancies existed because of term limits and midterm resignations. The council interviewed five candidates and the staff recommendation — approved by council — was to appoint Wendy White and Timothy Houston to three-year terms, Daniel Beavers to a two-year term and Pete Ruston to a one-year unexpired term.
Staff also noted that city code requires two planning commissioners to serve on the Board of Adjustment. With prior expirations, the council designated Wendy White and Timothy Houston to fill the two three‑year seats on the Board of Adjustment. Council members welcomed the new appointees, and three of the new members were in the audience.
Council approved the planning appointments and the board designations by roll-call vote without recorded opposition.
