Commission approves minutes and elects Greg Hammer chair, Guerra vice chair

At the start of the July 10 Traffic and Transportation Commission meeting the commission approved the consent agenda, which consisted of one item: the prior meeting minutes. A motion and second were made and the item passed on a roll call vote.
Later in the meeting the commission held its annual officer elections. An initial nomination for chair was made then declined by the outgoing chair, who announced she is stepping down from the commission. Commissioner Greg Hammer accepted a nomination and, following a second and roll-call vote, was elected chair. Commissioner Guerra was nominated and elected vice chair after nominations were closed and a roll-call vote.
All votes on the consent agenda and the officer elections were recorded by roll call and carried by the commissioners present. Staff thanked the outgoing chair for her years of service; commissioners offered personal remarks of appreciation.
